Day three was a bit of a downer. I woke up to find that my husband had gotten into a car wreck but luckily he is okay… our car not so much.
To cheer myself up I decided to stick with my Christmas checklist and watch a Christmas movie.
I chose a cheesy holiday favorite… Christmas with the Kranks!
I have a dry sense of humor so it’s super cheesy to me but it’s very festive so anyone who loves Christmas will probably enjoy it for that reason.
It did help take my mind off of things for a bit, hopefully tomorrow will be better.
I plan to continue on with Blogmas despite everything because it’s nice to challenge myself to stay festive regardless of what happens.
Comment below and let me know what other Christmas movies I should watch!
Happy Blogmas
Oh no! I’m so happy your husband is okay! My fiancé was also in a car wreck early last month. Just remember through all the foolishness that comes with it that the car will be replaceable, but your husband isn’t ! xx butttt to lighten this comment lol we are currently watching Elf! It’s my favorite movie probably ever lol!

Sorry about your car – happy your hubbie is okay. Your choice of movies wouldn’t be what I would pick (I go for the cheezy classics), but it was a great idea to stay on schedule. Happy Blogmas.

I normally wouldn’t watch this one but it was on Netflix haha.. If I watch Holiday movies I like the more vulgar comedy haha. I’m typically more of a horror movie/ thriller person so finding good Holiday movies is going to be a challenge, but this one was nice.

Easy for me – I like the oldies, and watch them every year. A few “new” ones (like Charlie Brown) have become oldies now. I don’t think you’ll find many Santa action/thrillers.

There are some but very few lol. I do like Charlie Brown and the old Rudolph as well as Frosty the snowman. My grandma raised me as a young girl (she was born in the late 1920’s) so I’ve watched all the oldies!

Although I watch some of the schmaltzy made-for-TV Christmas movies, my favs are the classics. It doesn’t feel like Christmas if I haven’t seen oldies like: Holiday Inn … It’s a Wonderful Life. … White Christmas …
A Christmas Carol …
and a few “newer” classics like: How the Grinch Stole Christmas … A Charlie Brown Christmas …
The Nightmare Before Christmas …

The “newer” ones are more of my favorites. I think the Nightmare Before Christmas is top of my list and I want to go watch it now haha

My nephews turned me on to that one. I’ve never been a fan of slapstick, so I avoid the silly ones and many of the cartoons, but just about anything else makes my list. I like to watch one every day – all the way up to 12th Nite (Jan. 6th).

None of them get my full attention. After all, I’ve already seen them.
They’re on in the background, keeping me company while I take care of other things — only watching the screen for certain scenes (otherwise, it’s Christmas tunes).
