I grew up in a broken home. It affected every aspect of my being. When I came to college I had been living with my friend in a foster home (I was 18 so not technically in the home). I didn’t know what it was like to have a supportive loving family… until I created my own.
Nothing means more to me than being a mother because I never had a loving mother. I strive to be the mom I never had everyday for my little boy. He is the light of my life.
Being a full-time student and mom hasn’t come without it’s struggles. My little boy and husband have been my biggest source of motivation when classes get rough or when I just feel discouraged.
Though most of the time it’s just us three and it can get a bit disheartening being so excluded from relatives I am so grateful for every moment I have with my little family.
